Go look out the window…

Suspecting a zombie infestation, you jump out of bed and head straight to the window.

At first you crouch and hide just below the windowsill. Taking a deep breath you slowly lift yourself up for a peek. You’re vision adjusts to the dark asphalt, barely lit with two street lamps across from your apartment building. At first, all you see are shadows. Then the shadows grow. Slowly, but surely, fragments of the shadows begin to break off only to reveal themselves into the light… But just then you experience a slight and disturbing pause, as if you are being frozen in time.

Your patience begins to experience every moment, to the millisecond.
Your senses at the height of their sensitivity.
Your eyes glued to the street.
Your ears still tuned to the faint tapping– which now seems to be increasing.
Your heart beating faster and faster as you focus on what’s happening outside your apartment, your safe room, your sanctuary.

And just like that, time unfreezes and you watch as those shadows transform into your ultimate fear… Zombies.

Suddenly the faint tapping is accompanied with another peculiar sound, a slight groan. They’re here. And they’re hungry.

Interestingly enough, you have been been preparing for such a scenario. You have the weapons. You have the training. You have a plan.
